Home of Glacier's 2005 Bantam House League Champions!
The Boca Bandits originated as the Boca Middle Roller Hockey Team. Then one day, Coach Amy Berean & Coach Stephanie Walsh took it upon themselves to get these boys out on the ice to give ice hockey a try. Well needless to say, there were hooked!
Form there, it was decided to enter Glacier's House League as a team and compete in the Bantam Division. At first, the Bandits were off to a rocky start. That was to be expected. But our boys persevered and got better & better each game they played.
The highlight of their second season, was beating the Glacier's Pee Wee Travel Team 4-2. The Bandits scored first and never looked back. This victory was a total team effort. The boys all played their best game at the same time and it showed.
From there, they went on to eventually become the 2005 Glacier House League Champs, beating out both Glacier teams PLUS their arch nemesis, North Broward. You boys sure did come a long way!
With the majority of the Boca Bandits soon to be High School players, the Bandits broke up & went their separate ways. You can still see some of them playing for both Boca High & Spanish River, plus there are a few who have made the step up to Travel Hockey, and I for one, couldn't be happier.
I just wanted to say thank you for one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had as a coach.
